i don't see apple breaching this. you have got to take into consideration that they still have that $137 billion in cash. they are going to pick up probably another $13 billion this year, up to $150. if they do anything with their cash at any point in time - buying netflix, stock purchase plan, or a huge dividend, the stock cost $50 in a heartbeat. but, if you look at the daily chart, i talked about it in my trading room, $419, it looked like it wasn't going to go lower - it broke it in a heartbeat. then it broke $400. on friday, the futures were up 5.5 points, apple was down $5.50 on the opening. every $1.10 apple moves is $1 billion in market cap. - traditionally apple rallies ahead of earnings. earnings are coming up on tuesday. what do you think? will we get a rally here? - i don't think we will get a rally. i like to look at the at-the-money straddles that are implying a $30 move in apple. that takes it down to that $370 level, or up to $430. i think they need to say something about the cash. show me a stock purc

so, apple is owns the stock. company didn't get ahold own press started believing its own press and that its stuff didn't stink if youful. forgetting what my dad used to call that great ladder in life, neil, he would say, remember the people you pass on the way up the ladder, you will be bumping into them on the way down. i cleaned up his language. anyway, apparently ladders go both ways. one day the world has taken a shine to your apple and the next it's saying you are rotten to the core. think about that. you're still the same person you are still the same company. only now you are a humble person and desperately looking for any company. i guess that's business. i guess that's life. but it's a reminder keep your head small. maybe not physically small. if you were born with a big head, that's impossible. but try to keep your ego in check. again, it's one the great things i have always mastered in my super

so i think two things on apple. on the positive side, they did a very significant return of cash to shareholders at the very high end, i think of where investors were hoping. and all else being equal, that was a positive. on the flip side, there was evidence of gross margin pressure in the quarter. they were down sequentially, and the company guided for gross margins to go down again sequentially next quarter. and this is worrisome, because apple is at the part of its product cycles where it's introduced new products where typically gross margins should be improving. so to see margins down, even adjusting for mixed effects, we believe iphone margins were down in the quarter, is worrisome. and it points to, you know, a mix shift to lower models within apple's lineup, which generally have lower margins. and, you know, ultimately, micros margins numbers came down and my estimates came down and my price target came down commensurately. >> but your rating remains outperform, right? you're still telling people you think i
